Summary of data for SDSS 1044-0125 This field contains an ~L* LBG at z=2.27, which the counterpart of a strong Mg II absorber along the line of sight towards the z=5.82 QSO. LDSS 3 imaging (January 2008) g-band t_exp = 1.67 hrs seeing measured from image = 1.0" zero point = 27.5 +/- 0.1 (AB magnitudes) WCS information in header galaxy at x,y = 1015,1360, RA,Dec = 10:44:32.936, -01:25:03.49 i-band t_exp = 0.33 hrs No WCS information, but registered to g-band image QSO at x,y = 1021,1351 Notes: The galaxy is essentially unresolved along the minor axis, but marginally resolved along the major axis. The observed FWHM along the major axis is 1.64", and the FWHM measured for point sources is 1.02" in this direction. This gives a deconvolved FWHM of ~1.3", or ~11 kpc for H0=71, Omega_m=0.27. g-band magnitude of the galaxy is 23.8 +/- 0.2 Separation between the QSO and galaxy is roughly 1.95" (center to center), or ~16 kpc. LRIS spectrum (March 2008 & May 2008) total exposure time = 3000 sec The spectrum combines the blue and red arms, and has been converted to erg/s/cm2/Ang using the g-band photometry.
